After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka, Aleksandar Ljuboja continued his education at the Banking Academy in Frankfurt, where he specialized in banking management, and pursued postgraduate studies at London Metropolitan University, where he obtained a master's degree in economics.

How do you perceive the role of AI in business today and in the future?
"AI is starting to play a big role in business by making things more efficient and helping with decision-making. In the future, it will become even more important as it helps businesses innovate and grow."
What significance does AI hold for businesses in your country?
"AI has great potential for businesses in Bosnia, but many companies here do not have enough knowledge about it. We are technologically behind, so we need to work on educating businesses and improving our tech infrastructure."
What are the main advantages and challenges of AI implementation for companies?
"AI can make businesses more efficient and help with better decision-making. However, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the main challenge is that many companies lack knowledge about AI and our technology is outdated. We need to focus on education and upgrading our tech infrastructure to take full advantage of AI."
What initiatives has your organization undertaken to promote AI awareness and readiness among businesses?
"We organize presentations, round tables, professional forums, social media etc. to promote AI awareness and what it can do in specific companies how can it be implementes, what are the adventages. We try to educate businesses about the benefits of AI and how they can start using it, even though we still have a lot to learn ourselves. But we have made some significant steps and we are still putting new efforts to promote thzese activities."

"In our Chamber system, we have a Center for Digitization with a wide range of activities. We organize seminars, commercial presentations of AI solutions, and even B2B meetings throughout the year. We also host the Jahorina Economic Forum, which this year only features several panels with top regional and global companies sharing their achievements and offering recommendations and solutions for various businesses."

Do you think companies in your country are ready to adopt AI? Why or why not?
"Unfortunately, most companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina are not ready to adopt AI. This is mainly because they lack understanding of the term AI, what it actually is, still unknown or new to them. But we strongly believe there is a huge potential it the approach is offered to them."
What specific actions should businesses take to determine if AI is relevant to them?
"Businesses should definitely start by learning more about AI and how it can help them. They can attend our presentations, seminars, and round tables to get informed. This is at least what we can offer them in this process. It’s also important for them to talk to experts and see examples of how AI is used in their industry. This will help them understand if AI is relevant to their business."
For businesses ready to implement AI, what steps would you recommend they follow?
"For businesses ready to implement AI, we recommend they start with small pilot projects to test its benefits. They should collaborate with our Center for Digitization to get guidance and support, also get to know from other companies what the usage of these technologies has done beneficial to them. It’s crucial they educate and train their employees on AI basics and available technologies and choose the technologies that are best for them.
